Local2 Burn Hall students to represent India in Japan
Players along with coach who will represent India in World SnowShoe Championship 2020 Myoko.

Srinagar: The two Burn Hall Higher Secondary Institute students are going to represent India in the International SnowShoe Running race in Japan.
The two students of the institute Ayan Bin Shahnaz and Zain Ali have been selected by SnowShoe Federation of India (SSFI) to represent India in the World SnowShoe Championship in Myoko, Japan from February 14 to 16. In the championship, two young athletes would be accompanied by Burn Hall sports teacher, Feroze Ahmed, a statement issued by institute read.
All the three have acquired Visa for the Japan visit from the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi and would be leaving from New Delhi for Tokyo on February 13. In the World Championship athletes from around 23 Countries are expected to take part including from USA, Europe and Canada.
Principal of the Institute FT Sebastian Nagathungal has termed it is achievement for the whole institute as well as J&K.
“It is proud moment for our institute that our two young athletes accompanied their teacher would be representing India in such a prestigious event in Japan. They would be rubbing shoulders with some of the top athletes from around the World. They will learn lot from participation in the championship as it will give them great experience and exposure,” said FT Sebastian Nagathungal.
“We hope they do well during the event and make name of J&K and Institute proud,” he added.
