Srinagar, November 12: The two-day encounter between Mallabagh Warriors and Mallabagh Sultans Thursday ended in a draw, here at Mallabagh Cricket Ground.

Resuming on overnight score of 125/3, Sultans played some top cricket in the first session. They ended their innings scoring 330 runs, thanks to a fabulous hundred scored by Sahil Sofi.

He struck 135 runs off 207 balls, helping his team take a lead of 88 runs. For Warriors, Musa picked as many as six wickets.

In reply, Warriors too looked smooth. Knocks of 67, 50 and 48 by Adnan Pandit, Shah Khalid and Abid Baba, respectively, led them to a total of 293 runs before the declaration. Mir Saleem, for opposition, remained the wrecker-in-chief as he scalped four wickets.

Chasing the target of 205 runs, Sultans lost quick wickets, however, managed to settle the things down before the day was called. They endes at 74/4 to complete a draw.

Sahil Sofi, for his ton, was named man of the match. The event was organised by Mallabagh Sports Association, who are now planning to play 3-day cricket match in the next week.
