The 2-day open State Field Archery championship organized by Field Archery Association of J& K concluded at Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Naseem Bagh here on Sunday.
The event that was inaugurated by Chairman Kashmir Harvard Tariq Baktoo on Saturday saw around 100 archers participating in it from six different districts of the State. At the concluding ceremony, former sports council member Rauf Tramboo was chief guest on the concluding function.
In the event selection for the national championship was held and 30 got selection. The National Field Archery Championship is scheduled to be held in Tamilnadu from December 26 to 29.
On the occasion Chairman of Kashmir Harvard Tariq Baktoo said hailed the event as unqiue and said that more such events should be held.
Rauf Tramboo congratulated all the participants in general and medal winners in particular and highlighted the importance of Archery and said that Archery is an adventure sports.
Later both the guests distributed prizes among the winners. The others present on the occasion were senior executives of the Association.
