Gulmarg : Youth Services and Sports Department J&K has organized a well packaged winter skiing course for school children of Kashmir division at world famous Gulmarg .
Pertinently the Ladakh school children would be also participating as it comes under Kashmir division according to Departmental realms .
As a matter of fact, world class trainers would provide skiing related training to children in three phases, with first that was kicked off on 21 January to 5 Feb, second from 5 Feb to 20 and third from 21 Feb to 4 March .Youth services
Thirty school  children would be provided know-how in the each phase .Third phase is exclusively meant for girl children.
Importantly, it is after six years the Youth Services and Sports Department is providing such opportunity of training in skiing to school children.
The event was kicked off by Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Department Bashir Ahmad and other senior officials of the Department which include Assistant Director Shabir Ahmed Wani, Showqat Andrabi and others were also present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion JD Kashmir Bashir Ahmad said that the Minster for Youth Services and Sports Molvi Imran Raza Ansari  was very particular about the resumption of winter sports activities by the Department and after holding the charge of the Department as its Director,  Shiekh Fayaz Ahmed took special interest in restarting the skiing course for school children at the world famous Skiing destination.
