After 75-yr gap Kashmir mountaineers summit Eastern Pinnacle Peak in Thajwas

Srinagar, July 14: It is after around 75-years of gap that any climbing group has scaled the 15610 Ft high altitude Eastern Pinnacle Peak in Thajwas , Sonamarg.

This feat was achieved by the group of four Mountaineers of Kashmir belonging to Cliffhangers India. The peak was last scaled in 1945 by John A Jackson.

The group was led by Mohammad Arif, Cliffhangers India Founder and included Nazir Raina, Nazir Junior and Junaid Ahmed.

This is the first successful summit of the peak since 1945 and the Cliffhangers India are setting a string of Mountaineering summits and this was one of the peaks that the group intended to summit. Last year Cliffhangers organized a summit to Mount Valehead

Cliffhangers India group are looking to scale more peaks in the mountain range of Sonamarg and Kolahoi.
