In the ongoing Inter-College cricket tournament Kashmir University XI and SP College won their respective matches played on Wednesday at Islamia College ground here.
In the first match, Kashmir University defeated Degree College Magam and in second match SP College defeated Dental College.
In the first match Kashmir University beat GDC Magam by 84 runs. Batting first Kashmir University scored 190 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Ubaid Ayub scored 43, Usaid made 42 while Saleem scored a quick fire 38 off just 14 balls. For GDC Magam Suhail and Zulfikar took 1 wicket each. In reply GDC Magam were bundled out for 106 runs Danish remained the highest scorer for GDC Magam scoring 38 runs. For Kashmir University, Saleem, Ubaid Manzoor and Ateeb took 2 wickets each.
Second match of the day was played between SP College and Govt Dental College. SP College won the match by 45 runs. Batting first SP College scored 141 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Skipper Irfan scored 51 while as Zubair scored 54 runs for them. For Dental College Hamid and Shabir took 1 wicket each. In reply Dental College team were all out for 96 runs. Mohsin was the highest scorer with 22 runs. For SP College Irfan took 3 wickets.
