LocalAs Churchill slips, chance for Real Kashmir to gain lead against Gokulam Kerala

Srinagar, February 05, 2019: As Churchill Brothers were handed shock 3-2 defeat by Shillong Lajong, Real Kashmir would like to take full advantage and gain advantage on points with a win against Gokulam Kerala FC.

Debutants Real Kashmir FC, will be taking on Gokulam Kerala FC on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at the TRC ground in Srinagar, in what is a crucial clash for the home team, who are nursing hopes of a dream title win on debut.

It is a usual afternoon start in Kashmir, where there is a slight chance of rain in chilly temperatures, with the kick-off slated for 2 pm IST.

Kashmir are on 29 points after 15 games, just one behind leaders Chennai City and a victory on Wednesday. With Churchill faltering against Shillong, Real Kashmir have got chance to go top spot at the business end of the league.

Gokulam are totally out of it, having garnered 12 points from 14 games, but under new Technical Director Gift Raikhan, have shown fight off late after a promising start to the campaign two months earlier.

Both teams played out draws in their last game, but Gokulam’s performance against Mohun Bagan will surely boost their confidence for Wednesday.

So will Kashmir’s effort down in Goa, where they also split points against a tough Churchill Brothers at home.
