Despite the heavy snowfall, the three-day first annual Level One Avalanche course continued at Gulmarg on Saturday.

“On satyrdat Here today (11 February 2017), KAA Instructor Anwar Sheikh teaches to a group of 60 Saturday in Kashmiri language the first annual Level One Avalanche course while the snow continues to fall. This is an initiative of Gulmarg Gondola and Jammu & Kashmir Tourism. The goal of the program is to spread avalanche awareness throughout the snow regions of Kashmir along with building mountain professionalism and job opportunities for the people of Kashmir. The Kashmir Avalanche Association is founded and run by citizens of Kashmir,: he writes.
