The premier Pakistan cricket team batsman Babar Azam showed his class during his debut for the Somerset County Club in T20 Blast match on July 17.
Somerset started its T20 Blast season with 8-wicket win against Glamorgan. The main highlight of the Somerset chase was the outstanding 98-run partnership between Tom Banton and Babar Azam.
While Tom Banton scored 64 off 34 balls, Pakistan’s Babar Azam showed his class by playing somke mesmerizing shots. Babar Azam scored 35 off 23 balls with 4 fours in his first T20 Blast.
Babar Azam has featured in 30 T20Is for Pakistan and has scored 1,247 runs at an average of 54.21 and strike rate of 128.95.
The Vitality Blast 2019 started on Thursday (July 18) and Azam is going to feature in all of Somerset’s 14 group stage matches, including the quarter-final depending on the team’s performance.
