Babar, Hasan keen to excel on WI tour

LAHORE: Upcoming middle-order batsman Babar Azam and all-rounder Hasan Ali on Monday expressed confidence that they will perform at their best on the upcoming tour of the West Indies provided they get selected for it.

Talking to media before the start of the training camp at the Gaddafi Stadium, Babar said if selected, he will try to maintain consistency in his batting in the tour of the West Indies.Babar Azam

Babar said his main priority is to establish his own identity in the world of cricket and added that the tour of West Indies will be a test of his abilities.

To a question regarding filling the shoes of stalwarts Younis Khan or Misbah-ul-Haq in the future, Babar said he has learnt a lot from both seasoned batsmen and will try to establish himself as reliable player like the two are.

All-rounder Hasan said he is not feeling any extra pressure for the tour of the West Indies and is keen to prove himself as an all-rounder on the tour. He said he is working hard in the camp to get control ovr bowling effective yorkers.
