Once a star and mainstay of J&K batting, Adil Reshi has once again found his way back into J&K cricket team as he has been selected for the J&K T20 team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy tournament.

J&K Cricket Association announced for the team for the event and it includes name of name of Adil Reshi who has been out of team from last couple of years. The stylish batsman who once had turned into mainstay of J&K batting had lost favor with team management and selectors. Added to that the disciplinary also didn’t worked in his favor and he slowly got out of team and the eyes. He last played for J&K in 2016.

However, this time now back in team and making it to the 16 member squad, the Srinagar based batsman has point to prove. It is time for him to stand up and make the opportunity count. It is time for him to shrug off the past and take aim at future and focus on the job. He needs to get away from the distractions and the talent he posses will surely help him to rise again.

When in his full flow, Adil Reshi is unstoppable and one hoes that he fo9nds that touch again during this event for J&K team. Though in 17 T20 out9ings for J&K he has not been able to deliver but his First class career has been better than most of the Kashmir based batsman.

In 32 first class matches he has scored 1627 run for J&K with the average 27.52. His highest scorer has been 160 runs and that was the only century by him. However, he has nine fifties to his credit as well.

In List A, he has been played 19 matches and has scored only 268 runs with only one fifty. In 17 T20 matches he has scored only 239 runs with one fifty.

This is the golden chance for Adil now to prove and justify his own talent. With the experience he posses he should turn himself into mainstay of J&K batting. More than for J&K it is the chance for him to prove point for himself that he still has got it and past mean nothing.
