Srinagar: The young skater from Kashmir Basharat Ahad Mir of Burn Hall School has been selected for the International short track speed skating championship that is going to be held in Europe.
Basharat was selected for the championship during speed skating championship held in New Delhi. It was championship cum two day training camp during which Basharat was selected for International competition.
As per Basharat he is first skater from J&K to be selected for the International event and for competing in the event he will be requiring International standard equipment. Back in State, Basharat has won number of district, State level events in the discipline.
Apart from being Basharat is ace cyclist and has been competing at top level in State apart from having represented State in cycling.
