Srinagar: BCCI postpones the start of IPL 2020 from March 29 to April 15, ESPNCricinfo reported this afternoon.

There were a lot of deliberations going on around whether the tournament will start on time with sports events around the globe getting canceled or postponed.

Clearing the air, the IPL governing body Friday decided to announce change in start date of the event. The event will begin from April 15 now instead of March 29.

IPL usually attracts a lot of people all-around the world and could have proved to be a dangerous tool for coronavirus spread, which has already halted the world.
