LocalBCCI releases match fee of J&K cricketers

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday released the pending match fee and allowances of J&K cricketers for the year 2014-15.bcci-logo

J&K cricketers of all age groups including Ranji trophy players were without their match fee and allowances from last two seasons. On Thursday BCCI after correspondence with J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) released the match fee and allowances directly into the bank accounts of cricketers. Confirming this JKCA Vice-Chairman, Javed Kitab said, “It is true that BCCI has directly credited money into the accounts of cricketers for the year 2014-15. The match fee for the year 2015-16 is likely to get credited into accounts of players in coming days”.

“As was the case with the salary of employees wherein employees got money directly from BCCI, this time also money has been given directly to players by BCCI. In rough estimates it was more than one crore of liability that BCCI today relieved us off,” he added.
