Brock Lesnar, the top-most superstar on WWE, has continued to keep his position despite being a part-timer on the show. He still holds the WWE Universal title and going forward, is expected to keep it for few more months till the time he is contracted with WWE. In 2018, the chances of Lesnar leaving WWE were at its extreme. However, just a day after Wrestlemania 34, he re-signed with the company that meant that he would perform for WWE only.
As per reports, WWE again offered him a contract in the last quarter of the year that also allowed him to perform on UFC, that meant that he could take part on both the shows simultaneously. However, there can be a twist in the tale soon as there can be a case when Lesnar might leave WWE, as Dave Meltzer has noted that Paul Heyman will be discussing a contract with AEW, WWE and UFC for Lesnar.
“If he wanted to fight he’d be fighting now. You know he got the big offer from Vince. He’s gonna do WrestleMania. I fully believe he’s gonna do the Saudi show in May and then you know if the contracts… a three-way dance this time. Paul E is negotiating the biggest three-way dance of his life. AEW, WWE, and UFC all for the same guy. That’s an interesting game, isn’t it?” Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
For now, Lesnar is set to make an appearance at Wrestlemania 35 where he will be defending the Universal title against Seth Rollins, the winner of WWE Royal Rumble 2019. Lesnar made an appearance on this week’s Raw where Rollins confirmed that he would be facing the champion.
As the things stand, Lesnar might not defend his title until Wrestlemania 35 and might just make the only one appearance till then. As it was said earlier, he could also face Daniel Cormier in UFC in the month of March but nothing has been confirmed and looking at the current scenario, the match is unlikely to take place now.
