Over the years Mount Mahadev, highest peak district Srinagar, Kashmir has fascinated the adventure lovers of Kashmir. Mahadev or Mahadev peak is a mountain peak in the vicinity of the Dachigam National Park in Srinagar District of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is visible from most parts of Srinagar city. For the years, the Peak is known to be favorite yearly trekking destination of the Tyndale Biscoe School but from the last couple of years, trekkers, adventurers are flocking this peak in large numbers. The easily accessible base of the peak gives easy access to the trekkers.
This winter, snow trekking, SnowShoeing, and Skiing was done by the adventure lovers on the peak adding new dimensions to the popular trip. Mount Mahadev is part of the Zabarwan mountain range overlooking Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Mahadev that has an elevation of 3966m (13,012 ft) and is part of Zaberwan range in Srinagar district. Approach route to Peak is as mesmerizing as Peak in itself.
