Srinagar, March 14: With all preparations put in place, J&K Sports Council Saturday disallowed the Real Kashmir vs Trau FC match of I-League at the last moment, citing ‘no written clearance from administration’ as the reason.

Both the teams, however, were earlier allowed to enter the ground while security was also kept around the stadium before Council refused to grant permission for the match.

Earlier, it was announced that the match will be played behind close doors with no fans allowed to enter the ground, owing to the coronavirus threat. However, there was no response from council regarding the matter.

“We have no written permission from District Administration to held this match. Since the advisory (over coronavirus threat) was earlier released, saying no sports activity should take place, we are following the same.” Secretary Sports Council, Naseem Choudhary told KSW.

“If we get orders from Deputy Commissioner, we will have no problem in letting the match take place.” He added.

The officials of Real Kashmir though disagreed, asking, ‘Why this on very last moment?’

“Then why were we allowed to enter ground in the morning. Why didn’t ask it earlier.” An official said.
