Cricket World Cup offers tickets to Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Here’s how ‘Your Humble Advocate’ replied

InternationalCricket World Cup offers tickets to Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Here's how 'Your Humble Advocate' replied

Just two days after WWE’s Paul Heyman hailed veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni following his Australia heroics, the Cricket World Cup offered him and his client Brock Lesnar tickets to the big summer carnival in England and Wales. And in reply, Heyman came up with a cheeky reply.

Dhoni scored three back-to-back fifties en route to his clinical 193 runs against Australia at an astronomical strike rate of 193 to guide India to a historic 2-1 ODI series win Down Under. Dhoni, with his remarkable and awe-inspiring performance on the slower Australian tracks, thumped his return back to the format and hence reaffirmed his World Cup spot shrugging off all doubts about his lost batting prowess.

While Twitter suffered a meltdown after the former Indian skipper scored a series-clinching 87 off 114 in the third series, International Cricket Council’s (ICC) official Twitter account posted, “Eat. Sleep. Finish games. Repeat. Life as @msdhoni.”, with a picture of a beaming Dhoni.” Joining the bandwagon, Heyman too hailed Dhoni’s performance calling him ‘amazing’, but cheekily asked for a royalty for paraphrasing Lesnar’s mantra “Eat Sleep Conquer Repeat.”

Without much ado, Heyman thanked Cricket World Cup for their offer, while once again cheekily saying that the event was “exploiting the fame/notoriety” of him and the defending WWE Universal champion. And so he asked for an “8 figure appearance fee offer”.

He tweeted, “. @cricketworldcup Thank you for your interest in expanding your global audience even further by exploiting the fame/notoriety of #YourHumbleAdvocate and the reigning defending undisputed @WWE Universal Champion @BrockLesnar. I look forward to your 8 figure appearance fee offer.”

The Cricket World Cup 2019 will start May 30 in England and Wales where Virat Kohli-led India are among the favourites to lift their third title and first since 2011. In a bid to prepare themselves for the coveted tournament, second-placed India will be up against third-ranked New Zealand in a five-match ODI series starting January 23. They play five more ODI at home against Australia next month before Indian Premier League 2019 kicks in.
