DC Srinagar felicitates Taekwondo players

LocalDC Srinagar felicitates Taekwondo players

District Development Commissioner Srinagar felicitated taekwondo players in an impressive felicitation cum belt presentation ceremony held at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar . The event was organized by J&K Taekwondo Association under the Super-Vision of Nissar Hussain Wani (VIice-President, JKTA). The event was supported by managing team of Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex and in it players from 6 Districts of Kashmir province participated.

On the occasion youngest indoor taekwondo academy trainees showcased their demo skills. As expected, the closure show was an amazing and absolutely sparkling. Many Sports dignitaries graced the said event by Marked their presence. A Poomsae demo has been showcased by the school students. But the true stars were the athletes from 6 different districts who have brought laurels to our state.  

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudary was chief guest while as Central Sports Officer, Kashmir Nusrat Ghazala was guest of honor.

Shaihd Iqbal Choudary while felicitating the Taekwondo players congratulated the organizing committee for organizing such kind of mass felicitation award ceremony for encouraging the youth and future aspiring medalist.

Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Manager SKISC) declared as Special Guest on the Felicitation Cum Belt Presentation ceremony.

Later on the ceremonial stage was joined by Bilquis Mir (Water Sports Indian Team Coach), Aftaab Ahmad(SHO, Shergarhi), Gulshan Drabu (Team Manager Indian Tennis Team), Maqsood Ahmad Rather (Joint Sec. WAJK), Aijaz Ahmad (State Awardee) , Faisal Ali Dar (Sports Promoter).

Nissar Hussain (Vice President, JKTA) while talking with media officials addressed about the event that “This event aims at promoting the athletes of Kashmir Province across the India for various National and International championships.
