Fazil Rashid who did exceedingly well at U-23 last season has failed to live up to the expectations, though shockingly been provided with numerous opportunities.

The wicket-keeper batsman broke into the Sir Vizzy and Vijay Hazare teams this year and finished the tournaments making miserable 70 runs in the 11 innings at the average of 7.

The Srinagar cricketer was then also included in the Ranji Trophy where he again was unimpressive. At the average of 10, he made 50 runs in five innings.

Note: This series of articles in which we highlight stats of the cricketers doesn’t mean to Degrade the Cricketers but to give them reality check and push them to work hard. They are our assets and represent State at National level, they need to work hard and make us Proud.

However, despite having disappointing numbers, JKCA has added him to the T20 shortlist, which surely is questionable.
