Despite strict action by JKCA, few ‘above 20’ players exist in U-19 shortlist

LocalDespite strict action by JKCA, few 'above 20' players exist in U-19 shortlist

A bunch of players today claimed that there are a few players in the U-19 shortlist above 20 years of age, yet have been given upper hand despite the strict action policy owned by JKCA this year.

The statement added that these players have been backed by a ‘big club’, due to which there has been no action taken. They further said that it is injustice done to them.

“There are a few players(name withheld) who are more than 20 years of age but are still in U-19 shortlist. They are known faces in JKCA and are being backed by few club members,” players told KSW.

“A guy in the shortlist has given his 10th class examination in 2009, I know as we both belong to the same place. He was part of the team last year as well and might be picked again this year. Is it not injustice!” a player revealed.

While there is another player whose father was a former member of the association and despite being above 19, he is in the team,

“He is playing U-19 for several years and is above 19 years of age but as his father was part of association earlier, he is enjoying the services without being questioned,” another player claimed.
