The cricketer and cricket clubs of District Budgam have come together to form District Cricket Forum Budgam in which former MLA Budgam Aga Syed Ruhullah has been appointed as the interim President.

The various cricket clubs, players and former Ranji Trophy cricketers district Budgam on Friday joined hands together to form the District Cricket Forum Budgam. At the end of the meeting clubs appointed Aga Syed Ruhullah as its interim President.

A large number of current players of the current cricket clubs and former Ranji cricketers from various Tehsils and blocks of the district Budapam held meeting at District Headquarters Budgam on Friday, a statement said.

The purpose of meeting was to create a District Cricket Unit in Budgam district. In this regard a meeting was held in which former MLA Aha Syed Ruhullah was appointed as interim President while as other interim body members were also appointed. Manzooor Ahmad was appointed as Sr Vice President. Fayaz Ahmad was appointed as General Secretary while as Reyaz Ahmad Treasurer. On the occasion six joint secretaries were also appointed and one publicity secretary, Statement further said.

It was announced that General Body Meeting will be held on April 5 in which all the Ranji trophy cricketers would be present and at the time a formal body would be elected. During the meeting clubs of District were asked to register themselves with the forum in order to get equal representation during upcoming general body meet.
