Srinagar, Mar 16: With an aim to give flip to football activities in old city of Srinagar a new football club based in old city of Srinagar has been formed.
The new club has been named Downtown Heroes Football Club and it will be backed by well known advertising & printing group of Kashmir CP Advertising & Communication Private Limited.

In this regard the meeting of the members was held on Saturday at The Lalit Palace, Srinagar in which various decisions regarding formation of the club were taken.
The meeting was attended by founding members Mushtaq Bashir, Hinan Manzoor Bhat, Shaheer Shah, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat and Shabir Ahmad Shagoo.

On the occasion various decision were taken regarding  the formation and running of the club. An adhoc body for running the club affairs was formed on the occasion in which Mushtaq Bashir was chosen as Chairman while as Gulzar Ahmad Bhat as President Hinan Manzoor Bhat was chosen as Secretary while as Shabir Ahmad Shagoo as Treasurer Shaheer Shah was chosen as Organizing Secretary.

The body formed will start the process of running the affairs of the club. They will initiate selection process for selecting footballers for the club, getting registration from J&K Football Association, J&K State Sports Council as well as forming constitution and bye laws of the club. The adhoc office bearers will also initiate process of creating account in the name of the club in any bank.
