Pattan, July 21: A comprehensive show in the grand finale of Darwashbagh Premier League earned Nehalpora the maiden title as they pipped Dhargam by 38 runs on Sunday at Pattan.

Batting first, Nehalpora put on a fighting total of 68 runs in 10-over a side encounter for the loss of 6 wickets. Having not the pressure of chasing a big total, Dhargam looked fragile with the bat.

None of their batsmen showed resistance as Nehalpora bowlers made sure to not give any freebies. They ended up scoring paltry 30 runs, losing the whole side within 9 overs. Hence Nehalpora ran away with a 38-run win to bag the first title of this Cosco tournament.

At the presentation ceremony, chief organiser, Sahil Showkat said that the aim of the tournament was to busy youth as drug menace had badly hit the area of Pattan.

He further added that he and his team will continue to organise such events.
