An England footballer was allegedly kicked out of a club after taking cocaine on a Christmas night out.

The Premier League star was reportedly caught snorting a line in the toilets by a horrified club teammate.

The player was allegedly booted out of the party and sent home in a taxi by his team’s manager, who mistaken thought he had drunk too much as he appeared worse for wear.

The incident is alleged to have happened at a pre-Christmas get together after an away game, according to The Sun.

The newspaper quoted a club source as saying: “One of the players saw him doing a line in the toilets then half an hour later he was all over the place.

“He wasn’t just drunk. The gaffer was furious and got him out the back door and into a taxi thinking he had drunk too much.”

The unidentified footballer is believed to have provided clean samples to drug testers the previous day.

Players are warned they can be tested at any time. Cocaine can remain in the blood for 48 hours and in urine for up to four days.

Footballers face a two-year ban by the FA if they test positive for Class A drugs.

The alleged scandal is thought to have caused a rift amongst within the team as other players were left shocked by the star’s behaviour.
