The inform England opener Jason Roy has been fined for the angry outburst against his dismissal during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semifinal against Australia at Edgbaston on Thursday.

“Jason Roy’s been fined 30% of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. In addition to the fine, two demerit points have been added to Roy’s disciplinary record. The incident occurred during the 19th over when Roy showed dissent at being given out,” Pakistan senior journalist Saj Sadiq Tweeted.

Roy admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Ranjan Madugalle.

On-field umpires Marais Erasmus and Kumar Dharmasena, third umpire Chris Gaffaney and fourth official Aleem Dar had levelled the charges against Roy.
