NEW DELHI: Former England fast bowler Chris Tremletthas revealed on social media his dramatic body transformation from a physically tall and imposing cricketer to a bulked-up, hulking frame and social media is buzzing about it.
The 35-year-old has been documenting his physical transformation on social media and on Tuesday posted a photo on Instagram of his new avatar, revealing that he has added 20 kilos of muscle to his 6ft-7inch frame.
“Just over 18 months now since retiring and as most of you know I’ve changed my body shape slightly,” he wrote on Instagram.”When playing cricket I had to stay lean and keep to a certain size, some will say I was still too big for cricket.”I’m not a bodybuilder, I just enjoy the challenge and feeling of weight training and keeping fit.”I believe you need a motivation to get you to the gym and for me, changing my body shape and getting stronger is my motivation.”
Tremlett’s England career was limited to 12 Tests and 15 ODIs owing to chronic back issues, and he retired from cricket in 2015. He is most famously remembered for helping England regain the Ashes in Australia during the 2010-11 tour, when he took 17 wickets in three Tests. In a first-class career spanning 15 years, Tremlett took 459 wickets.
