Wicket-keeper batsman, Asif Khan on Thursday has alleged JKCA of favoritism and deliberately ignoring him, however, the Srinagar-born cricketer has made mere 4 runs in the 4 inter-state matches this season.

In the beginning of 2018-19 season, Asif Khan was picked in J&K team for Sir Vizzy Trophy which was held at Andhra Pradesh. His inclusion was even questioned by the selection panel though reportedly, due to mentor’s intervention, he travelled with the team.

However, the right-handed batsman failed miserably in the tournament as he made 2 runs in the three matches including two ducks.

In spite of this, he made it to the J&K’s Vijay Hazare Trophy team where he again failed to impress, scoring paltry two runs in the only match he played.

Asif has played six first class matches for JK in which he has scored just 59 runs and has average of 6.55. He has also played 1 List-A match and scored mere 2 runs. Asif also has played 3 T20 for JK in which he has scored only 18 runs with average of 9 After all those failures the cricketers still claims he is not been given chance.

Meanwhile, Asif has surprisingly claimed that JKCA has kept him aside despite his good performances.

A former cricketer taking a dig on the allegation said that some ‘gully FB pages’ are misguiding people without going into the real stats,

“There are a few gully Facebook pages who claim to be ‘ media agencies, however, are led by some 10th fail boys. They post anything that comes there way and often misguide people. We should least pay attention to them,” He said.
