The Pakistan new batting mainstay Babar Azam after a decent show in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has climbed to 3rd place in the ICC ODO batting rankings.
The top spot in the rankings is retained by Team India skipper Virat Kohli with 891 points and his being closely followed by teammate Rohit Sharma at second place with 885 points. Babar Azam with 827 points stand at 3rd place while as Faf du Pleises is at fourth place with 820 points and Ross Taylor at fifth place with 812 points.
The way Rohit Sharma is batting at the moment he may go on to overtake Virat Kohli soon and it can happen during World Cup itself.
“In the latest ICC ODI batting rankings, Babar Azam has moved to 3rd place on 827 points after scoring 474 runs at an average of 67.71 at the World Cup. The top 2 are Virat Kohli on 891 points & Rohit Sharma on 885 points,” Pakistan senior journalist Saj sadiq tweeted.
