Srinagar: As part of the ‘Sports Festival’ for Kashmir division colleges sponsored by Department of Higher Education, Inter-College Kabaddi Rolling trophy for men was inaugurated at Government Degree College Pulwama on Saturday.
The tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer in presence of Principal GDC Pulwama Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, International cyclist Akber Khan, renowned table tennis player Qazi Inam and ex Kabadi player of J&K Parvaiz A Reshi.
Speaking on the occasion DC Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer encouraged the participants and said sports is critically important for the development of reflexes and motor skills.
Prof Farooq Andrabi hailed students for participating in such sports events and hoped that such events can help us in producing some champions..
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by PTI of the College Dr Faisal S Hayyat, Assistant PTI of the College Manzoor Ahmad Andrabi and Convener Sports Board Dr Suhaib A Bandh.
