Srinagar, October 09: Bandipora Friday defeated Ganderbal by 6 wickets in the ongoing inter-district tourney at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, thanks to an all-round performance by Nasir Lone.

Nasir first sparkled with the ball, scalping as many as four wickets. While later struck an unbeaten cameo of 30 runs to take his team home.

Earlier, Bandipora won the toss and opted to bowl first, considering the help wicket had to offer for seamers in the morning. The decision proved to be quite fruitful as Ganderbal batsmen struggled to resist.

They were rattled on 85 runs. Nasir was wrecker-in-chief while as Imran and Ishtiyaq also shared two wickets each.

In reply, Bandipora also lost a few early wickets. Opener Ishtiyaq Robby fell early, so did Mohsin. However, Nasir Lone made sure to keep the one end going, helping Bandipora run away with 6-wicket win.
