Srinagar, October 07: Parvez Rasool and Suhail Rashid were the heroes for Anantnag Reds as they trounced Pulwama Reds by 114 runs on Wednesday in the ongoing inter-district tourney at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar.
Batting first, Anantnag made huge 259 runs while losing just five wickets in 40 overs, thanks to a 90-run knock by Parvez Rasool. For Pulwama, Malik Adnan scalped a brace.
In reply, young leg-spinner, Suhail Rashid made the life tough for Pulwama batsmen. However, Shabir Nengroo and Sameer Wani made sure to save their team from a collapse.
Shabir made 45 while as Sameer struck 35 runs as Pulwama Reds were bundled out on 135 runs. Suhail was the wrecker-in-chief, taking a five-wicket-haul. Parvez Rasool aslo scalped a couple of wickets for Anantnag.
The tournament is being organised by district cricket associations and is hosted by Srinagar Cricket Association.
