West Bengal based cricketer who has represented India and has played in Indian Premier League (IPL) credited former India All-Rounder Irfan Pathan for finding Rasikh Salam who made his IPL debut on Sunday for Mumbai Indians against Delhi Capitals.
17 year old J&K cricketer made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indian’s on Sunday in Mumbai. It was impressive debut with everyone in cricket circles in praise of Kashmir cricketer for his rhythm, action, swing and maturity to bowl at such a grand stage. While everyone was praising Rasikh and Mumbai, there was one cricketer who gave credit to the person who unearthed talent like Rasikh.
It is known to everyone now that Rasikh is find Irfan Pathan who picked him out of nowhere during a selection trial and made him play for senior team directly. Before that Rasikh had never played for State at any level. Pathan was last season mentor cum player for J&K team.
Taking to his twitter handle Manoj Tiwary gave credit to Pathan for finding the talent like Rasikh and wrote, “Yesterday in the game between #MIvsDC We saw Rasikh Salam from J&K state made his IPL debut. Looks promising. Kudos to Mumbai for showing confidence on him and giving him the platform. One man is working behind the scene for J&K upcoming talented players is Irfan Pathan bhai”.
In another tweet he wrote, “Been following closely his efforts in bringing all this talents to take up cricket and showing them the path for future. Not just in cricket but in life as well Rasikh Salam is just the first one and I’m sure many more will rise from J&K state. Salute to you IrfanPathan bhai “.
