Former Team India opener turned politician Gautam Gambhir is not big fan of another Former Team India skipper MS Dhoni and that was evident from the fact that Gambhir has got irked with people having obsession with famous six of Dhoni in the final of World Cup 2011 that took Team India home.

On the 9th anniversary of India’s World Cup win, Gambhir was irked by a post from a cricket website that highlighted MS Dhoni’s winning six.

Gambhir taking to his official Twitter reacted by tweeting, “Just a reminder @ESPNcricinfo: #worldcup2011 was won by entire India, entire Indian team & all support staff. High time you hit your obsession for a SIX”.

Gautam Gambhir was India’s go-to-man in World Cup finals. Be it to the 2007 T20 World Cup final wherein he hit a crucial fifty in a low-scoring thriller against Pakistan or steering the ship in a tricky chase in the 2011 World Cup final, Gambhir stepped up when the team needed someone to deliver.

Gautam Gambhir’s 97 in the World Cup 2011 final came when India were chasing a tricky total of 275 at the Wankhede Stadium.

However Dhoni was named the Man of the Match in the World Cup final for his 79-ball 91.
