After delaying it previously to make it official and Real Kashmir donning the jersey with its Logo in Invitation Cup, Adidas India on Monday October 22, made it official by announcing its official partnership with Real Kashmir Football Club as its official kit partner for the upcoming I-League season.
Real Kashmir FC first professional football team from the Kashmir to qualify for the I-league. The club earned a promotion to the 2018-19 I-League in only two years of its inception, with a victory over Hindustan FC in 2017-18 second division I-League.
Speaking on the occasion, Dave Thomas- Managing Director of Adidas Group, India, said, “Through sport, we have the power to change lives and the Real Kashmir team is a great example of this. Real Kashmir and its players have shown dedication and perseverance under difficult circumstances and we are proud to support them as they create history”.
The co-owner of the Real Kashmir, Shamim Meraj termed deal as more than a sponsor for the club as it is dreaming big among big boys of Indian football.
