The top women cricketer of State who plays in national circuit for Punjab Jasia Akhtar has got another accolade to her credit now as she has been called for Women’s India Premier League (IPL) that starts on May 6.

She has been told to report on May 2 while as league starts on May 6. This year Women’s IPL is three team event. In the event best women cricketers from all over Country have been chosen for the teams.

BCCI recently announced the 2019 Women’s T20 Challenge.  It was after the success of the 2018 Women’s Exhibition Match played in Mumbai prior to 2018 IPL Qualifier 1, this year sees the concept return on a larger scale.

The Women’s T20 will be made up of three teams playing four matches in Jaipur as standalone games during the 2019 IPL Playoff week.

The teams will comprise current and future stars of Indian cricket playing alongside a selection of the world’s best players. The combined strength of talent on display will showcase the quality of women’s cricket.

Jasia is top cricketer who was twice was selected for India camp. She was recently also awarded State award by J&K Government.
