Srinagar: J&K got all out for 227 runs in their first inning on the first day of the four day Ranji trophy match against Goa at Surat on Thursday.

In reply , Goa also got to bad start with Ram Dayal taking first wicket for the score of one run in first over. Among Desai was wicket to fall for Goa.

Earlier J&K were all out for 227 runs after having got terrible start to the match. Thanks to brilliant inning by Parvez Rasool and solid knock from Ian Dev 67, J&k were able to post respectable total.

After another shaky start, top cricketer of State, Parvez Rasool stepped to rescue J&K inning by scoring free flowing 82 runs to take total to 159 for the loss of five wickets in 42 overs in the match of Ranji trophy against Goa at Surat on Thursday.

Shubam Khajuria was first to for the score of eight runs, scoring five, Adil was next for the score of 18, scoring three. Skipper Mithun Manhas who returned for the match got out for naught.ranji

At that point it looked like that J&K will have another batting collapse. However, coming of Parvez Rasool in the middle changed the tempo of the game. It took attack to Goa scoring runs freely in all corners. While Ian Dev was solid at other end it was Parvez who gave nightmare to Goa bowlers. Parvez score 82 runs of just 83 deliveries before getting out LBW to Shadab Jakati. His inning included 13 fours and two sixes. After his fall J&K lost another wicket, Bandeep Singh got out for 10.  Ian Dev was sixth wicket to fall after scoring 67 runs. Dayal fell at the score of 209 runs after giving some support to Puneet Bisht who scored 40. Laast three J&K wickets fell for 10 runs.

For Goa Shadab Jakati took four wickets.
