JK created history at Amtar by defeating giants Haryana in an epic encounter. This was the third consecutive win for JK in the tournament (Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy). In the beginning of the tournament JK had lost the first two matches but they came back strongly thereafter. Experienced Ian Dev was leading JK side in absence of Parveez Rasool who was busy with National team. By this thumping victory against Haryana, JK finished group on second place. This time around it was team effort with some fine performances from Mr consistent Shubham Khajuria and Ram Dayal.
Batting first on a good wicket JK were able to score a formidable total of 156 for the loss of 3 wickets with Khajuria scoring 68 of 57 and Man has 31 of 23 balls. In reply Haryana lost few early wickets but SR Chauhan 43 of 27 and captain Paliwal 31 of 23 kept hopes alive for Haryana. But soon things changed for Haryana with some fine bowling and fielding from JK. At last Haryana were able to score 152 for the loss of 9 wickets and lost match by 4 runs. After this victory J&K finished on 2nd position in North Zone Points Table pipping Punjab by positive Net Runrate.
