Jammu and Kashmir Association announced a 15-member squad for upcoming Women’s U-23 T20 tourney on Friday, following which players alleged that the team has been selected in ‘office’ while the list prepared by selectors been rejected.

The list features quite a few unknown faces while misses out some known names. Players say that most of the selected candidates don’t even know how to use cricket equipment.

“It’s absolutely disgusting that most of the selected players don’t even know how cricket is played and what bat and ball look alike,” a player told KSW.

They also claimed that the list which was made by selectors was rejected by JKCA members,

“Selectors had selected a different team but JKCA has changed that and added different players. In nutshell, they have made the team while sitting in their office.” another player said.

“Selectors know all this but are silent as they are afraid that JKCA might not indulge them in future activities,” she added.

Meanwhile, some of the players have also alleged that a few selected members are relatives of JKCA members.

The squad is as under:

Iqra Rasool
Farkhanda Aziz
Nizma
Bisma
Sadiya
Insha
Humera
Heena kounsar
Lalita
Nancy gill
Nadia chaudhry
Rudrakhshi chib
