Now ‘defunct’ Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association clubs on Wednesday called an ‘extra-ordinary general body meeting’ at Hotel Savoy Jammu to put forward the resolution against recently framed fresh constitution of the association.

The club members marked the ‘amended constitution’ illegal and unauthorised while raised fingers over the J&K High court appointed Committee of Administrators (COA) and CEO.

The members said that they had proposed a general council meeting with the CoA and CEO, however, it was disregarded before the introduction of fresh constitution.

The administrators had last year approached J&K registrar of Society for the registration of new constitution, which provided each district equal representation in JKCA. Recently, they got the approval from the BCCI, making an end to the ever-long club system.

Protesting the same, the club members put forward some resolutions, calling the interference in the association completely ‘against law’.

The members also questioned the role of CoA and CEO, saying their reign with JKCA has already expired and they are holding the position illegally.

In the press release, the clubs remarked that they will go to supreme court and BCCI to represent the ‘geniune’ case of JKCA.
