Srinagar, July 7: Wicket-keeper batsman. Nawaz Rather on Sunday scored a fiery hundred to help Poonch XI knock down Rathore Cricket Club in the ongoing JKCA-organised Talent Hunt tourney at Poonch.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Poonch XI chose to bat first. They posted a mammoth total of 403 runs in this 40-over a side encounter.

Nawaz was the hero with the bat, scoring 108 runs in just 76 balls while Parvez Afridi also blistered a quick knock of 83 runs.

In reply, Rathore side didn’t find a start that was required. They lost early wickets as young Rustam Ali bowled a spectacular spell, scalping three wickets. Later, Raisat also joined the party and removed as many as 4 batsmen to rattled opposition on a paltry total.

Nawaz Rather bagged man of the match for his hundred.
