JKFA condoles footballer Basit Farooq’s demise

J&K Football Association (JKFA) has consoled the demise of young footballer Basit Farooq who passed away on Friday due to cardiac arrest.

As per JKFA statement Basit who belonged Kralpora area of Budgam district breathed his last on Friday at 11 PM. He was playing for J&K Bank Academy.
“The President, the members and the players of JKFA deeply mourn the sad demise of Basit Farooq, football player of J&K Bank Academy Srinagar who left for heavenly abode on 1st May 2020 due to heart attack, ” JKFA statement on its Facebook page reads.

“He was from Kralpora Budgam. He was a thorough gentelman, soft spoken and a promising and talented Footbal Player. His sudden death has created a void which is difficult to fill. JKFA prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow peace upon the departed soul and give forebearance to the breaveared family to bear this irreaparble loss. The entire football farternity is pained at this hour of grief and sorrow, ” Statement added.
