Srinagar: Celebrated sportspersons across Jammu and Kashmir took part in the ‘Stay Home Awareness’ initiative led by J&K’s known sports administrator and JKCA’s representative to BCCI, Ranjeet Kalra.

Kalra, in wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, requested the sports stars of erstwhile state to come up with video messages, requesting people to stay indoors and prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The stars responded quite well as all of them shared videos on their social media platforms. The players included international stars like Parvez Rasool (Cricket), Arun Malhotra (Football), Bilquis Mir( Water Sports), Atul Pangotra (Teakondow), Kuldeep Handoo and Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh (Wushu), Abid Nabi, Surinder Bagal, Rajesh Gill, Dhruv Mahajan ( Cricket Stars) among others.

Thanking these stars, Kalra said that it was overwhelming to see their messages getting attention from people.

“Spreading awareness among masses is really important in these times. I thank our sports stars for helping to spread the word.” He said.
