The suspense is over as England has announced its ICC Cricket World Cup team on Tuesday with Barbados born, Jofra Archer making the final cut.

England included Jofra Archer, James Vince and Liam Dawson in the final 15 while as David Willey, Alex Hales and Joe Denly were left out.

Team: Eoin Morgan (C), Moeen Ali,  Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow,  Jos Buttler, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, James Vince, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood

But while Archer’s inclusion was largely expected, England still sprung a surprise by plumping for the part-time spin of Liam Dawson over Joe Denly.

Dawson has not played for England since an ODI against Sri Lanka in Dambulla last October, where he pulled a muscle in his side and left early after one appearance in the five-match series.
