Khan International Sports (KIS), a Kashmir-based cricket gears manufacturing brand is set to organise Asia’s first-ever professional snow-cricket match at Pahalgam in the upcoming week.

Inspired by the Ice cricket league which was held at Switzerland last year, organisers are all up for holding this first of its kind cricket match on snow-field at Pahalgam.

The event will see two teams viz Valley Professionals and Valley Legends facing each other for a T-10 encounter.

International star, Anamul Haque Bijoy will be coming all the way from Bangladesh to play this match while as Kashmir’s lone international cricketer, Parvez Rasool will also feature at the event.

The duo will captain the two sides for this match.
Meanwhile, the organisers are planing to held a complete snow-cricket tournament in upcoming year to boost the tourism in Kashmir.

While talking to KSW, KIS owner, Firdaus Khan said, “We will see how this match goes. We have planned a complete snow-cricket tournament in the upcoming year.”

Khan also requested general public to come and see this exciting event,

“We would be overwhelmed if people come there and witness this historical event,” He added.

A similar kind of event was held at Gulmarg last year when South African legend Johnty Rhodes visited Kashmir, however, the event was played between locals. While as in this event, both the teams will feature international stars as well as Ranji Trophy cricketers of Jammu and Kashmir.
