Kongamdara, July 10: VBC Magam on Thursday prevailed over Cricket Avengers Hazarpora in a super over thriller in the ongoing Kongamdara T20 tourney.
Earlier, after winning the toss VBC Magam decided to bat first. Owing to some formidable performances, the side posted a fighting total of 139 runs on board.
Salman scored a handy cameo of 38 runs while captain Fida contributed 29 and Yaseen Beigh added 20 runs to the total.
For Cricket Avengers Hazarpora, Ishfaq and Ishtiyaq scalped a brace each.
Chasing the total, Cricket Avengers Hazarpora started with an attacking approach. Zubair scored a quick-fire knock of 58 runs while Iqbal made 30 runs.
However, Salman and Mudasir’s exceptional bowling spell led the recovery for VBC Magam. Lastly, the match was tied, hence teams played the super over to decide the result of the match.
In the super over, Avengers were able to score paltry 4 runs as Javid bowled a jaw-dropping over, removing both the wickets. In reply, Salman of Magam wasted no time and finished the match within three balls to hand VBC a thrilling win.
Javaid (Jaddu) was declared man of the match for his special bowling performance.
