Goa got off to a solid wicketless start after being put into bat first by J&K on the first day of Ranji Trophy match at Goa on Monday.
J&K won the toss and opted to field first. There hopes of getting early breakthroughs didn’t brought any results as Goa opening duo of Sumiran Amonkar and Amogh Desai put on 59 runs for the first wicket for the loss of no wicket in 38 overs. At lunch Goa were going good at 59/0 with Desai batting on 31 and Amonkar 23.
J&K used five bowlers who all went wickless so far. Mohammad Mudhasir and Parvez Rasool both bowled 10 wickets each while as Irfan Pathan and Amir Aziz bowled five each. Umar Nazir bowled eight.
