There are number of surprises as J&K Cricket Association on Sunday, February 17 announced the 17-member list of players for the J&K T20 campaign in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Tournament.
JKCA conducted the trials match in Jammu and in which 25 probable’s were shortlisted. After that the shortlisted players were part of coaching camp in Jammu.
The selectors on Sunday announced the 17 member list of the squad and also have pet three players stand bye. While there are many surprises in the team but the major one is dropping seasoned star pacer Mohammad Mudhasir. Another pacer whose selection was based on fitness approval Ram Dayal has been included.
Team: Abdul Samad, Jatin Wadhwan, Shubham Khajuria, Owais Shah, Shubham Pundir, Bandeep Singh, Parvez Rasool, Irfan Pathan, Waseem Raza, Manzoor Pandav, Rasik Salam, Mujtaba Yousuf, Omar Nazir, Suryansh Raina, Akaash Chowdhary, Ram Dayal and Shahrukh Dar.
Stand Bye: Nawaz Ahmad, Tahzeem Tak and Deepak Dogra,
Dropped: Lone Nasir, Fazil Rashid, Mohammad Mudhasir, Abid Nabi and Sahil Shafi.
With J&K Cricket Association in total non professionalism with no one there to answer and keep a check there were couple of lists in circulation.
One finds it hard to rule out that JKCA did it deliberately to keep everyone in confusion regarding the original list so that to avert any scrutiny.
