Former Pakistan cricket team skipper and current bowling coach Waqar Younis has come heavily on the star pacers Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz for betraying team ast last moment before Pakistan went on to tour Australia.

Waqar who is looking after Pakistan bowling currently said that Amir and Wahab retiring from Test cricket at last moment forced them to take two to three newcomers for Australia tour which clearly was betrayal.

“We took 2-3 youngsters to Australia, not just 1. The main reason for that was Amir & Wahab ‘gave us a dhoka’ at the last minute & decided they wouldn’t play Tests 15-20 days before the start of the tour, ” Waqar Younis was quoted by Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq.

He further quoting Waqar as saying that currently players are only after money as T20 leagues provide that easily.

“There are so many leagues around the world, it’s easy money, bowl 4 overs & rest in the evening. Players go into their comfort zone & cause damage to the country. They don’t think about the broader picture. If you’re sitting on Twitter & retiring, that really hurts, “Waqar said.
