Gulmarg: Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday claimed that there is no threat of Coronavirus to Khelo India Winter Games as J&K Administration has established multiple screening centers for the incoming and local participants.

While reacting to a question regarding issuance of advisory by Union Government regarding crowd-gathering and why Khelo India event was held amid such threat, he said,

“I must congratulate J&K Government for their commendable job in making this historic event a success. The J & K Government has taken all the precautions for the Games. The administration has established multiple screening centers for all the participants to get screened thoroughly. All outside participants are screened at airport, Jawahar Tunnel and even before entering Gulmarg at Tangmarg,”

“This is a clean and well managed event and I assure you that the administration is looking into all aspects,” he added.
